This line really resonated with me: 'I put away all the marketing advice... and I focused 100% on what makes me happy.' It's so easy to get caught up in 'shoulds' and external expectations. Your experience shows the power of tuning out the noise and marching to the beat of your own drum. It's not always the easy path, but it seems to be the most fulfilling.
Thank you for the special guest spot. I have truly appreciated our time together and have been working on the affirmation you gave me. You are truly an incredible human, with incredible experiences, and incredible insight. I can't wait to share this with others. ❤️
So profound! Because I was the person that could hold it I was not allowed to drop the weight of it! So I became the “bad” person in the relationship and I’m in the middle of that relationship. Years ago I got divorced and annulled from an incompatible marriage. Now I’m married 45 years to an amazing person yet our equity is non existence
Like you, in my first marriage, and the LTR after that marriage, I was the one who could hold the weight. so I did. If I dropped that weight, everything would come crumbling down. And it did, in both cases. Divorce was the hardest and best thing I did for my mental health and future relationship skills. I”m now 8 years with an amazing partner who respects me and is reciprocal in every way imaginable.
GOD! I FARKING LOVE THIS…. I was listening to Kyle Cease on Next Level Soul y’day and he was saying the worst thing he ever did was go to acting classes. Before that, he had a constant flow of work because HE WAS HIMSELF. The moment he took those classes, he contracted bc now he was being told what he “should” be doing.
As he was talking I was thinking that it’s exactly the same with all the entrepreneurial advice out there. I had such self-belief a few years ago and I’ve been on this horrid (although ultimately great) journey of “business advice” - nothing like what you spent, although, it’s been enough. Each one saying different things, each one contradicting the other. I’m now journeying back to my wild inner knowing that success is inevitable when we follow our hearts….
Mind you, that said, I’ve been swearing like a sailor this morning trying to set up a farking landing page. 🤪🤬😁
FARKING! and y'day! you crack me up Suzy! As always, I read your comment and I can hear your voice in my head, and see your wild uninhibited vibrant joyful bouncing energy all over the place. I just love you.
Farking and Fookaroonie! 😁🤪 I soooo much desire to be wild and uninhibited - sometimes that feels a long way awf and other days it feels who I Am. ❣️
I was in ze bath earlier and I felt I was so excited by your overarching message that I failed to validate the RIDICULOUSNESS and horror of that business creation 💩 (why the feck does the poop emoji have a smiley face? Has anyone figured this out yet? Is it because the gold is often found in the shiiiiiiiit?)
Ugh scammers are the worst, and there's so many out there, glad you managed to turn it into a learning opportunity and you got out when you could. Also appreciated listening to the episode with Alexander, I love the affirmation at the end. 💖
They are the absolute worst, especially the ones that guise themselves as legit businesses! Alexander is pretty awesome. I loved his openness in this session!
Hello Teri, my wife Anne and me enjoyed very much reading your post this evening. Anne is the long term (20 years) subscriber from Munich/Germany who listened to every single Podcast you provided via i-tunes. Anne was really excited that you mentioned our invitation to Germany. We both want to reaffirm, that it would be a great pleasure to host you and your hobbit here. Situated between the Black Forest and the Lake Constance, embedded in beautiful landscape, we live in an old mill, which we convert into a warm and friendly place, where people can stay for a short time or live permanently an reconnect with nature, with themselves, with each other and with animals (we've got around 30 of them). And how cool would that be, if one day some of your followers leave the virtual bubble and meet each other in person around our campfire here. Warm regards, Anne & Peter
OMG! HI PETER! it’s so nice to meet you here. And YES! I have thought about your offer almost every single day since you gave it. We are just figuring out time and money. And WE WILL BE THERE ONE DAY! I’m super excited to see your sacred land and be blessed by the spirits there.
The nicest people I know fall for these scammers… that and multi level marketing schemes! It’s rotten that all the techniques counselors use to gain client’s trust (which have good intent behind them) are also used by abusers and scammers with nefarious intent. So sorry to hear this happened to you
I'm just glad I got out of it and stopped the cycle. I will shout from the rooftops, don't fall for Growth Tools. They will never claim to be a scam, but they totally are.
Wow, what a story, Teri Leigh! Thank you for sharing your experience and the wisdom you gained from it. I can only imagine your frustration while you were working with that company and spending so much money and effort while watching the negative results. Sometimes we are given such challenging situations in which to learn, aren’t we?! I’m sending you a high five full of love and light for coming out the other side of that experience shining brighter and feeling more aligned. Woo hoo!! 👏🩵🌈🫶
That happened last summer. I kept telling my coach “my business is doing WORSE” and she kept smiling and nodding. I could tell in her aura that many of her other clients had the same experience. On our last call, sh turned off her camera and said to me in a whisper “the only clients who really succeed here are the ones who have money to burn and stick with us for two years at $2K/month.”
That contraction was HELL. And if that is what I had to experience to get to the expansion I’m feeling here on Substack. Okay. I can live with that. Especially cuz that is in the past, and now I’m in the present.

Listening to this was like looking into a mirror emotionally! It was as if your experience is my own experience! I feel so deeply for you.
Alex Lovell is the best! He is helping me to practice Moving Beyond with every post, every comment and every guidance he offers me!
I’m learning this as well. Just discovered his power of yoga nidra!

Awesome sharing! It strengthens me. 💫🕊️💜
Loving your art, eating your regret meal. Playful image. 😊
I’m having so much fun generating these images. There is one for every post now.
